Amy Caldwell
- Location: Cornwall
Amy lives and works in a gorgeous corner of south east Cornwall and spends as much time as possible exploring the countryside and coast with her dog and little boy. When the opportunity arises, she can’t resist a good mooch around a market, second hand, charity or vintage shop, finding little treasures to brighten up her home. Amy loves pilates and yoga, cycling and running, and surfing, but only when the waves are perfect and the sun is shining (hence rarely). Her favourite activity of all time though is swimming in the sea – no wetsuits allowed!
A few questions about nice things...
Who do you most admire?
I have mini crushes on Clare Balding, Sheila Fogarty and Dawn Porter – all super intelligent women with a sense of humour and who are good at what they do. Most of all though I admire my parents – for different reasons. My dad for his sense of adventure at 65 and my mum for her strength.
What are your favourite possessions?
My new little boy, my boyfriend and my dog, but I also love my authentic Breton t-shirt which is my staple wardrobe item.
Tell us about your perfect day or weekend...
The sun would be shining, we’d be up and out the house early with our picnic packed and head down to our own (secret) beach where there is a perfect wave and golden sand. We’d set ourselves up for the day, swimming, building sandcastles, reading papers, a spot of fishing maybe…until the sun was setting.
What makes you happiest?
Sunshine, sand, surf and my family – oh and the Breton top!
What would you like to do in the future?
I have simple dreams…to live somewhere you wake to hear only the sound of birds singing, and to create a happy home with my family.
